EAU Dance Director Named EGR Varsity Dance Team Coach

The East Grand Rapids High School Varsity Dance Team will kick-off the New Year under the direction of Emily Underwood, EAU Dance Director. Underwood was appointed to the position by EGR High School Athletic Director Tim Johnston in December.

“I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to work with such talented ladies,” said Underwood. “We’ll be dedicated to continuing the EGR ‘tradition of excellence’ through dance!”

The team, comprised of twelve girls (grades 9-12) will perform at select varsity basketball games this winter and will compete in January and February. Go Pioneers!

My wife and daughter will join me in EGR this summer. My daughter loves all forms of dance and has been in competitive dance since the 5th grade. She’ll be a 10th grader next school year. Is EAU a good place to continue her training in this performing art?

      Hi Rich,

We’d love to welcome your daughter at EAU Dance and have a summer workshop for youth/teens/adults in ballet, jazz, and modern. Our 2017 fall/winter session schedule will be available on our website soon. Our mission at EAU Dance is to provide quality, technique focused training in a non-competitive atmosphere that inspires our students and supports their love for the performing arts. Please let us know if we can answer any other questions or offer a tour when your daughter and wife join you in EGR. Welcome!
