Emily Underwood

Emily Underwood, Founder and Artistic Director of EAU Dance has been dancing all her life and has been actively teaching many genres of dance for over seventeen years. She moved to East Grand Rapids, Michigan in 2008 from Minnesota where she studied and performed with the Minnesota Ballet, St. Olaf College, University of Minnesota-Duluth, The Northwestern Ontario Dance Centre, Sterling Dance, Ressl Dance, and Christopher Watson Dance Company. Her choreography work and teaching experience encompasses working with students of all ages and abilities at the School of the Minnesota Ballet, Grand Marais Playhouse, Grandville Avenue Arts & Humanities, Visser Family YMCA, Moving Company, balletmore, Sterling Dance, and CARE Conservatory of Ballet. Emily was awarded the merit-based dance scholarship from St. Olaf College in 2003 and holds a B.A. in Advertising & Public Relations from The College of St. Scholastica. She has pursued her passion for movement at Pilates in East and AIR Aerial Fitness and studied Balanced Body Pilates mat training with Master Teacher Ahme Bovee (2015) and has earned her certification in Aerial Yoga & Fitness (2018). Emily enjoys working with schools and theatre groups on choreography for the stage and most recently co-choreographed Disney’s Mary Poppins for Rockford High School. When she’s not at the studio, Emily enjoys chasing after her two young children, both dancers of course!

Sophie Schuller

Sophie Schuller grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan and is currently studying at Aquinas College and with the Child Life team at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital. She has been dancing for thirteen years, and has studied dance at the East Grand Rapids Parks and Recreation Department, Creative Arts Repertoire Ensemble, EAU Dance, and is also independently studying tap dance. She has studied theatre at the Grand Rapids Civic Theatre School of Theatre Arts and has loved being part of the dance, fitness and performing arts community through work with EAU Dance and the YMCA. Sophie is a certified Zumba instructor and loves being able to explore Latin based dances and rhythms. In her spare time, Sophie volunteers with child focused non-profit organizations.

Allison Taylor Hubbard

Allison Taylor Hubbard is thrilled to be back with EAU Dance! After graduating from East Grand Rapids High School and dancing with the CARE Ballet, she spent two years in Chicago, Illinois studying musical theater and dance at the Chicago College of Performing Arts. She then took the opportunity to work for Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida and learned all the ins and outs of making magic happen every day! Allison then ventured to New York City where she studied at the Broadway Dance Center, specializing in musical theater style dance, as well as trained in countless disciplines. Allison’s heart lies in the world of classical ballet and musical theater, as well as the wonderful world of Disney! Making magic and specializing in pixie dust, especially through dance!

Worth Williams Hages

Worth Williams Hages is a Broadway musical theatre performer and teaching artist.  While living in New York City, Worth played the role of Amber Von Tussle for the Fist National Tour of “Hairspray”. While on tour with the show, Worth performed at legendary theatres like The Kennedy Center in Washington, DC and The 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle where “Hairspray “ originated. Worth had the pleasure of working with Tony award winning director Jack O’Brien and choreographer Jerry Mitchell. Worth studied at The Boston Conservatory of Music where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in musical theatre. Over the course of 13 years in NYC, Worth taught musical theatre to students ranging in ages three to eighteen at TADA Youth Theatre, City Lights Youth Theatre, Wingspan Arts. She served as choreographer at The Brearley School and has directed productions of “Footloose” and “Hairspray” at The Young Actors Theatre in Florida.

Mikey Winslow

Mikey Winslow was born and raised in East Grand Rapids. He attended Western Michigan University where he received his BFA in Musical Theatre Performance. In the summer of 2009 he moved to New York City, and that fall he made his Broadway debut in West Side Story. Immediately after closing WSS, Mikey joined the Broadway company of American Idiot. He then went on tour the country with Wicked for a couple years. He made his way back to NYC and continued performing on Broadway in On The Town, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. He took some time off from the stage to film the made for tv movie Dirty Dancin’ and to dance in the background of a couple SNL skits. Two years ago Mikey had his left hip completely replaced due to some congenital issues as well as injuries sustained in his dancing career. The recovery process was trying, but Mikey held himself accountable and had a great support team of family and friends, and in early 2019 Mikey was back on Broadway again in the
cast of Hamilton! Since then, Mikey has performed with and closed the Chicago company of Hamilton.

Ahna Viel

Ahna Viel fell in love with High Fitness when she first moved to Grand Rapids three years ago. Having danced since was three, she craved a workout that would be equal parts fun and effective. Boy did it deliver! After being a participant, she decided to take the leap and get her certification. She began subbing High Fitness at Allegro Coaching soon after her son’s birth in July 2019. Ahna graduated from Bethel University in 2012 with a B.A. in Elementary  Education, Preprimary Speciality and Infant/Toddler Endorsement. Having taught the past 8 years, she is excited to blend her love for teaching, dancing and exercising with all her High Fitness participants.
